About Dr. Maggie Garcia

Interventional Pain Specialist | Anesthesiology

Maggie N. Garcia, MD, is an interventional pain physician at DYNAMIC Pain & Wellness, serving people in Pensacola, Florida, and throughout Escambia County.

Dr. Garcia began her professional education at Indiana University in Bloomington, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in human biology, chemistry, and Spanish. Following graduation, Dr. Garcia enrolled at the college of medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago. There, she earned her medical degree.

During, Dr. Garcia served as a visiting urgent care doctor in Nerja, Spain. Upon returning to the United States, she completed a transitional year residency at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois, followed by an anesthesiology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Before joining the team at DYNAMIC Pain & Wellness, Dr. Garcia completed a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Rush University Medical Center, also in Chicago.

Dr. Garcia is fluent in English and Spanish. She boasts extensive training in cutting-edge pain treatments and is dorsal column spinal cord and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulator certified. Dr. Garcia is also certified in Vertiflex™ and Cornerloc™. 

As a pain management specialist, she has special interests in neuromodulation, joint procedures, radiofrequency ablation, and diagnosing and treating chronic regional pain syndrome I and II.

Dr. Garcia proudly holds membership in the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

When she isn’t meeting with patients and developing interventional pain management treatment plans, Dr. Garcia enjoys working out, hiking, and traveling. She’s also an avid reader and film fanatic.
